Herald – Google Chat notifications for Jira
Send the Jira updates your team cares about to Google Chat spaces. No bots to authorise, no cookies to allow: paste a webhook and you're done.
Two-minute setup
Create an incoming webhook in your Chat space, paste it into Herald, send a test message. That's it.
Only what matters
Filter by project, issue type, priority, label, component, custom field or JQL. Status changes from one status to another. Ignore Automation and bots.
Never fails silently
A delivery log for every space, a health badge, and an email to your admins when a space stops receiving messages.
Calm, readable spaces
One thread per issue, compact or detailed cards, the fields you choose, and one summary instead of a flood when someone bulk-edits.
Private stays private
Issues with a security level, restricted comments and internal service-desk comments are skipped by default.
Runs on Atlassian
Herald is built on Atlassian Forge. Your Jira data is processed on Atlassian's platform and only sent to the Chat spaces you choose.
What Herald can notify about
Issue created, status changed (optionally only from one status to another), assigned, resolved, commented, comment edited or deleted, fields changed, work logged, links and attachments added or removed, issue moved or deleted, sprints created, started and completed, and versions created and released.
Who manages it
Jira administrators configure connections for the whole site. Project administrators can manage their own project's notifications from Project settings → Apps, without needing a Jira admin.
Pricing
Free for sites with up to 10 users. Larger sites get Atlassian's 30-day free trial, then pay per user through their Atlassian bill. See the Marketplace listing for current prices.
